Lentil Weight Loss Recipes


Lentils are highly nutritious food and it is good for healthy eating and weight loss. Chicken with Herby Lemon Lentils
Ingredients:

1.       2 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
2.       100g puy lentils
3.       Oil spray
4.       Salt and pepper
5.       Zest and juice of one lemon
6.       500ml chicken stock, from a cube is fine
7.       2 garlic cloves
8.       Handful fresh parsley

How to Make:

·         Heat stock in saucepan & add lentils and Boil for ½ hour.
·         In frying pan, heat oil spray. Flavor the chicken & For 5 minutes cook it.
·         Then turn over and cook it again for 8-10 minutes until cooked all the way.
·         Now, Take chicken out of the pan and leave it for rest. Now, for a few minutes Heat juice, garlic, lemon zest and parsley together.
·         After that, In pan, put lentils with lemon juice and garlic to combine.
·         Serve chicken on top of the lentils.

Asian Lentils

Ingredients:

1.       2 x 400g tins puy lentils, drained
2.       1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar
3.       2 tbsp. soy sauce
4.       2 tbsp. sesame seeds
5.       1 red chilli
6.       Salt and pepper
7.       1 tbsp. runny honey
8.       1 garlic clove
9.       Oil spray

How to Make: 

·         Chop up garlic clove and cut chilli in half & remove seeds with back of knife, then finely chop.
·         In small pan, Heat soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic & chilli all together
·         In a frying pan, Heat oil spray & cook until lentils are warmed. Over lentils, put pour soy sauce and then cook for 1 minute. Tip into a bowl and drop with sesame seeds.
