What Fruits and Vegetables are High in Fiber?


Fiber also known as roughage which mean indigestible part of plant foods that passes through our digestive system, absorb water. Basically, there are 2 types of fiber i.e. soluble and insoluble. Fruits High in Fiber
1 - Strawberries: In one cup of strawberries, there is 3 grams of fiber. Along with fiber, strawberries also contain vitamin C, manganese and many other nutrients. 

2 - Apples: This fruit contains good amount of fiber. In one medium-sized apple there is 4.4 gm of Fiber. Apple is most satisfying fruits which people can eat easily. 

3 - Avocado: Among all fruits, this is different and good source of fiber. This fruit is loaded with magnesium, vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium and various B vitamins. Avocados also have various health benefits. 

4 - Bananas: This fruits includes many nutrients such as vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium along with fiber. One medium-sized banana contains 3.1 grams of fiber. 

5 - Guavas: Guava is rich source of fiber. In per cup of guava there is 36% DV (9g) of fiber and per 100 g of guava consist of 22% DV (5g) of fiber. 

Vegetables High in Fiber
 
1 - Broccoli: On planet, Broccoli is one of the most nutrient-dense foods and rich source of fiber. Along with fiber, vegetable also contain folate, potassium,B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron and manganese. 

2 - Carrots: this vegetable is tasty and high nutritious and along with fiber it also loaded with vitamin K, vitamin B6, magnesium. One cup of carrot contains 3.6 gm of fiber. 

3 - Beets: Per cup of beets, consist of 3.8 gm of fiber. Beets are very high nutritious vegetable as they contain folate, copper, iron, manganese and potassium along with fiber. 

4 - Brussels Sprouts: this vegetable is related with broccoli and high in potassium, vitamin K, folate and potent cancer-fighting antioxidants along with fiber. 

5 - Artichoke: this vegetable is very high in nutrients and one the best source of fiber. In one artichoke  -there is 10.3 gm of fiber.
